Our meetings are held at 10:00 a.m. in the Bullitt County Fiscal Court Room located in the Bullitt County Courthouse at 300 S Buckman St. Please enter from the rear door of the building next to the old stone jail.

  • August 20, 2022 - Field Trip: Tour of Bowman Valley Schoolhouse
  • October 15, 2022 - Speaker Nancy Hitt on Moses Ezekiel, a Jewish American sculptor commissioned by Isaac and Bernard Berheim to design several statues in our area.
  • November 19, 2022 - Show and Tell Bring a treasure to share its history, or a "What is it" to stump our members.

The Bullitt County History Museum, a service of the Bullitt County Genealogical Society, is located in the county courthouse at 300 South Buckman Street (Highway 61) in Shepherdsville, Kentucky. The museum, along with its research room, is open 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday; and from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Thursday. Admission is free. The museum, as part of the Bullitt County Genealogical Society, is a 501(c)3 tax exempt organization and is classified as a 509(a)2 public charity.
