Gabriel Cox sold the westernmost 200 acres of his 790 acre survey on the south side of Salt River to Henry Crist on 17 Nov 1803. He would later sell 150 acres to Michael Troutman in 1805; and in 1809 his heirs would sell the rest of the survey to the heirs of William R. Owens.

This indenture made this 17th day of November 1803 between Gabriel Cox and Elizabeth his wife of Nelson County and Commonwealth of Kentucky of the one part and Henry Crist of Bullitt County and Commonwealth aforesaid of the other part. Witnesseth that the said Gabriel Cox and Elizabeth his wife to them in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, have bargained and by these presents doth bargain and sell unto the said Henry Crist a certain tract or parcel of land containing 200 acres lying and being in Bullitt County on the south side of Salt River about one mile above the mouth of Cox's Creek, and being part of a 790 acre survey bounded as followeth, Viz. Beginning at two beeches and sugar tree on Salt river bank thence South 70° East 80 poles to an ash, sugar tree and beech, thence South 12° East 272 poles to an elm and ash, thence North 78° East 136 poles to a walnut, white oak and mulberry, thence North 22° West 240 poles to two beeches, thence North 70° West 100 poles to two beeches, thence North 62° West 90 poles to two beeches on the bank of Salt River, thence down the same binding thereto to the beginning, to have and to hold the aforesaid tract of land with its appurtenances thereunto belonging to the said Henry Crist and his heirs forever to their only proper use and behoof of him the said Henry and the said Gabriel Cox and Elizabeth his wife doth covenant and agree to and with the said Henry Crist that they will forever warrant and defend the said tract of land with its appurtenances to the said Henry Crist, his heirs or assigns against themselves & their heirs and all manner of persons whatsoever claiming or to claim. I Benjamin Grayson, clerk of the county court of the county aforesaid do certify that on the 21st day of June last Gabriel Cox and Elizabeth his wife, a party to this indenture, did in my presence in due form of law execute and deliver the same as their voluntary act and deed. She the said Elizabeth being at the time of her delivering as aforesaid examined by me separate from and out of the hearing of her said husband. Witness my hand this 11th day of July 1804.
