Robert and Magdaline Shanklin of Jessamine County sold this land to William Pope Jr., Worden Pope, and Robert Breckinridge of Jefferson County. This unspecified acreage lay on the eastern side of the Shanklin 1400 acre settlement and preemption.

This indenture made this fifteenth day of November eighteen hundred and eleven between Robert Shanklin of Jessamine County of the one part and William Pope Jr., Worden Pope, and Robert Breckinridge of Jefferson County of the other part. Witnesseth that the said Shanklin for and in consideration of the sum of one dollar to him in hand paid by the said Popes and Breckinridge before the sealing and delivering of these presents, the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, hath granted, bargained and sold, and by these presents doth grant, bargain and sell, alien, relinquish, release, convey and confirm unto the said William and Worden and the said Breckinridge, their heirs and assigns forever a certain tract or parcel of land situate lying and being in the County of Bullitt, part of his settlement and preemption of 1400 acres, the east end thereof and bounded as follows, viz: Beginning at a small walnut and a mulberry marked with a penknife in the north boundary line of said Shanklin's land, running thence south three hundred and forty poles to a stake in the south boundary line of his land, thence east with his said Shanklin's line or lines to his most southeastwardly corner, thence with his eastern boundary line three hundred and forty poles to his most northeastwardly corner near Allender's fence, thence west with the said Shanklin's northern boundary line to the place of beginning; to have and to hold the said tract or parcel of land with all the appurtenances to the said William Pope Jr., Worden Pope and Robert Breckinridge, their heirs and assigns forever, and the said Robert Shanklin and __ his wife for themselves and their heirs doth covenant and agree that they will warrant and forever defend the within described tract of land to the said William Pope Jr, Worden Pope and Robert Breckinridge, their heirs &c against themselves and their heirs and against the claim of all every person or persons claiming to claim the same or any part thereof by, through or under them or any of them, their heirs &c against themselves but not against the claim of any persons claiming or to claim the same under any title except under the title of the said Shanklin. It being the intention of the parties to this indenture that the said Shanklin shall only convey his right title and interest in and to the said land.
