This indenture made this seventh day of June one thousand eight hundred and thirty two between Frederic G. Alexander, John Holsclaw, Robert F. Samuels and Matthew Wilson, trustees of the Town of Shepherdsville in Bullitt County, State of Kentucky of the one part and Rudolphus Bukey William Hill, Nathaniel P. Saunders, George Hedges, Henry H. Samuels, Jacob Peacock, Henry F. Kalfus, Thomas Shain, Jesse Willson, William W. McCroskey, Henry C. M. Cartmell Henry Small and Wilford Lee and John Graham Esquires, Justices of the County Court of Bullitt County in said state of the other part. Witnesseth that the parties of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of seven dollars heretofore to them in hand paid by Richard P. Simmons, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, and by the power vested in them by law have granted, bargained and sold and by these presents do grant, bargain and sell, alien, release, convey and confirm unto the party of the second part and their successors in office a certain lot of land being in and a part of the town of Shepherdsville and known and designated on the map or plan of said town by the number eighty nine, said lot having a front on Third Street of 99 feet, 5 inches and extending back in northwardly 40 feet, being the same lot which was bought by Richard P. Simmons of the former trustees of said town and sold by him to the party of the second part which will more fully appears by reference to the order of said Simmons of file with the papers of the said Trustees. To have and to hold the said lot No. 89 with all the appurtenances thereunto belonging unto the party of the second part and their successors in office and to their only proper use, benefit and behoof forever. And the said Trustees for themselves and their successors in office do covenant to warrant and defend the said lot and appurtenances to the party of the second part and their successors in office from the claim or claims of all and every person or persons claiming the same. In testimony whereof the said Alexander, Holsclaw, Samuels and Wilson trustees as aforesaid hereto set their hands and seals on the day and year before written. (signed) R. F. State of Kentucky, Bullitt County Court Clerk's Office, 7 June 1832. This indenture was this day produced to me David B. Abernathy, deputy for Noah C. Summers, clerk of said court and acknowledged by Robert F. Samuels, Matthew Wilson, John Holsclaw and Frederic G. Alexander, trustees of the town of Shepherdsville to be their act and deed for the purposes therein mentioned. Whereupon I have truly recorded the same in said office. Att. David B. Abernathy, D.C.
