On 28 Aug 1798, John Carr of Hardin County sold 200 acres of a 300 acre tract surveyed in his name to Evan Moore, as shown below. Note that the degree readings between this deed and the original survey do not agree.

This indenture made this 28 day of August 1798 between John Carr and Elizabeth his wife of Hardin County of the one part and Evans Moore of Bullitt County of the other part. Witnesseth that for and in consideration of the sum of fifty pounds ot them in hand paid, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, they have given, granted, bargained and sold, and by these presences doth give, grant, bargain, sell and make over unto the said Evans Moore a certain tract or parcel of land lying in the county of Bullitt and state of Kentucky on Crooked Creek, a branch of the Rolling Fork, containing 200 acres, part of a 300 acre survey and on the upper end.
Beginning at two white oaks and a pine tree, running thence North 20° West 127 poles to an ash and dogwood, thence South 87° West 262 poles and one-fourth of a pole to three white oaks, thence South 20° East 127 poles to two dogwoods and an ironwood, thence North 87° East 262 and 1/4 of a pole to the beginning.
To have and to hold the said tract or parcel of land with its appurtenances unto the said Moore, his heirs and assigns, and the said John Carr and Elizabeth his wife doth warrant and forever defend the said land with its appurtenances unto the said Moore from the claims of themselves, their heirs and fom any person claiming by from and under them, and from all other persons holding any claim whatsoever.
