On 15 Sep 1809, William Ray sold to Royal Glass 50 acres of a 400 acre tract patented to John Ray that lay along Crooked Creek. This section lay in the northeast corner of the original patent. Note that the original degree readings of 79° and 11° had been altered to 80° and 10° in this deed.

This indenture made this 15th day of September in the year of 1809 between William Ray and Mary, his wife, of Bullitt County, and state of Kentucky of the one part and Royal Glass of the aforesaid county and state of the other part.
Witnesseth that they the aforesaid William Ray and Mary, his wife, for and in consideration of the full and just sum of 50 pounds current money of the state aforesaid to them in hand paid at and before the sealing, and delivering of these presents, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, they have bargained and sold and by these presents do give, grant, bargain, sell, alien, release, convey and confirm unto him, the aforesaid Royal Glass, and his heirs forever all their estate, right, title, claim and interest of and to a certain tract or parcel of land situate lying and bying in the county of Bullitt aforesaid on the waters of Crooked Creek, being part of 400 acres entered, surveyed and patented in the name of John Ray, containing 50 acres by survey and bounded as followeth, to wit.
Beginning at a white oak and elm, northeastwardly corner to said John Ray's 400 acres and running with the original line S 80° W 124 poles to three white oaks and thence S 10° E 64 1/2 poles to a sweet gum and two white oaks, thence N 80° E 124 poles to a sweet gum, two beeches and poplar in the original line, thence with said line N 10 W 64 1/2 poles to the beginning.
To have and to hold the aforesaid 50 acres of land together with all and every the appurtenances thereunto belonging to him the aforesaid Royal Glass and his heirs forever to his and their only proper use, benefit and behoof forever. And they the aforesaid William Ray and Mary his wife for themselves and their heirs do covenant with the aforesaid Royal Glass and his heirs forever t his and their only proper use, benefit and behoof forever. And they the aforesaid William Ray and Mary his wife for themselves and their heirs do covenant with him the aforesaid Royal Glass and his heirs that they the aforesaid William Ray and Mary his wife the aforesaid tract or parcel of land together with all and every the appurtenances thereunto belonging from themselves and their heirs and from all and every the claim or claims of all and every person or persons whatsoever unto him the aforesaid Royal Glass and his heirs and assigns forever defend by these presents.
